Farmer ends life

DAVANGERE: A farmer committed suicide at Kempanahalli village in Chennagiri taluk of Davangere district on Wednesday.

According to the police, Thippesh had taken a loan of Rs. 5 lakh from a private bank to buy a tractor. He had not been regular in paying the instalment because of crop failure. The bank reportedly sent him a notice. — Staff Correspondent
