PUDUCHERRY: The Muthialpet police has arrested four persons and recovered gold jewellery and silver items worth around Rs. 10 lakh from their custody. Senior Superintendent of Police (Law and Order) Manish Kumar Agarwal told reporters here on Thursday that the accused had confessed to stealing the valuables from a house in Muthialpet. The owner of the house on Saint Rozario Street, Muthialpet, had lodged a complaint saying that gold jewellery and cash had gone missing from his house when he was away. After interrogating several suspects, the police arrested Babu, who worked as driver with the complainant, Mr. Agarwal said. Babu confessed that according to a plan masterminded by him, three of his friends, including a juvenile, had committed the crime when the house owner was away
