Museum anniversary

The sixth anniversary of Kursura submarine museum, the first of its kind in South Asia, will be celebrated with a free entry for children below 12 years on Saturday. Free entry will also be provided to students studying up to 10th class on production of their identity cards.

INS Kursura, the grand old lady of Indian Navy, was converted into a museum after it was decommissioned on February 28, 2001. It served the nation for 31 years by taking a major role in the 1971 Indo-Pak war.
