OMCAP to have franchisees abroad

HYDERRABAD: The Overseas Manpower Company of Andhra Pradesh (OMCAP) will appoint franchisees abroad especially in Gulf countries, to provide jobs to the unemployed in the State.

Also, plans have been dawn up to upgrade the skills of at least 10,000 persons through training this year under Rajiv Udyogsri to seek employment opportunities overseas. It is proposed to provide 3,000 jobs this year. As part of this, a centre will be opened to train housemaids who are in high demand abroad.

Ministers G. Vinod (Labour) and R. Chenga Reddy (Technical Education) announced that sub-centres of the company would be opened at Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Kadapa.
