Award for Chitra

KOCHI: Playback singer K.S. Chitra has been selected for the 12th Janmashtamipuraskaram constituted by the Aluva-based Balasamskara kendram. Film director Adoor Gopalakrishnan will give away the award at a cultural meeting to be held at Neyyattinkara on August 20, lyricist and jury member S. Rameshan Nair told reporters. The award comprises Rs.10,000 and a citation.
