Bust of Kalyanrao Patil Nittoor unveiled

BIDAR: A bust of Kalyanrao Patil Nittoor was unveiled by Minister for Major and Minor Irrigation Basavaraj Bommai here on Friday.

He paid tribute to Nittoor on his first death anniversary at a function held on the premises of Nittoor Education Society.

Mr. Bommai said Nittoor wanted the Karanja irrigation project completed and utilisation of the State’s share of Godavari waters for the benefit of farmers. He said efforts would be made to expedite the completion of the Karanaja project and ensure that the State was able to utilise its share of water from the river. The former MLAs Rameshkumar Pande and Prakash Khandre spoke on Nittoor’s contribution to the district.
