Congress senior citizens’ forum soon

VIZIANAGARAM: For the first time, senior citizens in Vizianagaram Assembly constituency are being roped in into the Congress fold.

A meeting in this regard was held under the aegis of K. Veerabhadra Swamy, MLA, at TTD Kalynamandapam here on Friday. The MLA said that a forum of senior citizens affiliated to the Congress would be constituted.

Minister for Housing B. Satyanarayana, who attended the meeting, felt that it would augur well for the party, and said he would share experiences with them and invite suggestions.

Detailing the government’s welfare schemes, Mr. Satyanarayana assured senior citizens that he would take up their appeal for inclusion in Arogyasri scheme with the Chief Minister. Later, he felicitated a few of them. Chairman of Zilla Grandhalaya Samstha R. Pothanna others participated.
