Nagercoil: The district administration has decided to give a facelift to Vattakottai , the 18th century granite fort, to attract both tourists. According to officials, Vattakottai, a Tamil name for the fort was also called as circular fort as its granite segments were placed in a circular shape, located in the Bay of Bengal in the eastern side. The officials said that they had laid approach road from NH – 7 to the fort. — Staff Reporter
