Committee to visit varsity

KARAIKUDI: An expert committee constituted by the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi, would visit Alagappa University from August 11 to 14 to assess the performance of Alagappa University in the Xth plan period and to evaluate its requirement for the XIth plan.

P. Ramasamy, Vice-Chancellor of Alagappa University, said that the demands of the university for the XIth plan under “General Development Grant” had already been made to the tune of Rs.223 crore to construct additional buildings for various departments, purchase of equipments for the laboratory of the departments and colleges.
