Harika back in joint lead

NEW DELHI: Top seed D. Harika jumped into joint lead with a resounding victory in the sixth round and R. Preethi moved to the shared fourth spot in the girls’ section of the World junior chess championship at Gaziantep, Turkey, on Thursday.

Harika beat Kazakhstan’s Gulmira Dauletova to reach five points and joined second seed Ukrainian Mariya Muzychuk and lowly-rated Kazakh girl Guliskhan Nakhbayeva, who surprised Mary Ann Gomes.
