SriLankan Airlines moots link to city

BHUBANESWAR: Even as the State government is yet to avail the recommendation from the Ministry of Civil Aviation to upgrade the Biju Patnaik airport into an international one, neighbouring Sri Lanka’s national carrier SriLankan Airlines has mooted ink Bhubaneswar.

The announcement has come at an appropriate time when the Indian Association of Tour Operators’ conclave is on in the city and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik asked the tourism directorate on Thursday to explore the Buddhist tourism potentialities of the State.
