Rourkela: Four members of a family were arrested for allegedly torturing a woman for dowry at Jagannathpur village, about 80 km from here, police said on Friday. The woman, Jharana filed a complaint with the police accusing her husband, Rajendra Kumar Sahu and other family members of torturing her for dowry since her marriage in 2005, the police said. Jharana in her complaint alleged that her husband married another woman from Jharkhand when her parents failed to meet the dowry demands, the police said adding Jharana returned to her father Satrughan Barik’s house. Police from K. Balang and Bonai stations arrested the husband, Rajendra, his father Narula Sahu, mother Binapani and her brother-in-law Ashok Sahu on Thursday. -PTI
