Students take out rally

CUTTACK: Apprehending that the State government is out to privatise education by introducing more self-financing courses in government educational institutions, the activists of All India Democratic Students’ organisation (DSO) took out a rally in Ravenshaw University here on Friday. The protestors submitted a memorandum to this effect to the university Vice-Chancellor Devdas Chhotray through the university registrar Satyakam Mishra.

Led by local DSO leader Bhagyarabi Das, the activists said that the State government was determined to reduce the number of seats.
