Several IAS officers transferred in State

An IPS officer’s posting to Lokayukta was withdrawn

Bangalore: The State Government on Friday transferred the following IAS officers: Arvind Jadhav, on his return from Central deputation, has been appointed as Principal Secretary, Infrastructure Development Department. He has also been given additional charge of the post of Chief Project Officer, Karnataka State Highways Improvement Project, replacing Mr. Basavaraju.

Ranjani Srikumar, Principal Secretary, Social Welfare Department has been transferred and appointed as Principal Secretary, DPAR (Administrative Reforms, Training, Political Pensions).

Tapan Senapathi, Managing Director, KEONICS, has been posted as Principal Secretary, DPAR (Janaspandana).

Mahendra Jain, Commissioner for Collegiate Education, Bangalore, has been transferred as Commissioner for Backward Classes, Bangalore.

Lukose Vallatharai, on his return from Central deputation, has been posted as Managing Director, Karnataka State Handicrafts Development Corporation, Bangalore. Mohammed Sanaulla is Secretary to Government, Social Welfare Department (Minorities Welfare).

Jannu Arvind Ramachandra, waiting for posting, has been appointed as Director, KEONICS, Bangalore. He has also been given concurrent charge of the post of Director, Information Technology and Bio-Technology, Bangalore.

Ramesh Bindu Rao Zalki, Secretary, DPAR (Administrative Reforms, Training and Public Pensions) has been transferred and posted as Commissioner for Employment and Training, Bangalore.

N. Nagambika Devi, Commissioner for Backward Classes, Bangalore, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner for Collegiate Education, Bangalore.

C.M. Shirol, Director, Plan Monitoring Unit and Director, NREG, Rural Development Department, Bangalore, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Bijapur district.

Manoj Kumar Meena, Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Panchayat, Tumkur has been posted as Deputy Commissioner, Chamarajanagar district.

P.C. Jaffer, Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Panchayat, Gulbarga is Director, Plan Monitoring Unit and Director, NREG, Rural Development Department, Bangalore.

Sameer Shukla, Assistant Commissioner, Mangalore sub-division, has been posted as Commissioner, Mangalore City Corporation.

IFS officer Jayanarasimharaj has been posted as Chief Executive officer, Zilla Panahayat, Gulbarga.

Withdrawn

The State Government on Friday withdrew the posting of IPS officer B.N.S. Reddy as Superintendent of Police, Lokayukta.

The posting was withdrawn as the Karnataka Lokayukta had refused to accept the posting of the officer stating that there was no need of an officer of the rank of the superintendent of police for the institution at present.

Also, the Government had failed to consult the Lokayukta as per procedure before posting an IPS officer.

Now Mr. Reddy been posted as Superintendent of Police, Corps of Detectives (CoD), in the existing vacancy.
