BANGALORE: After riding high for three successive days, India went down to the United States 0-3 in the semifinals of the ITF World junior (under-14) tennis championship at Prostejov, the Czech Republic, on Thursday. “The boys were unable to raise their game when it mattered. Both of them were tired mentally after having given 100 per cent on the first three days,” Sunil Yajaman, the non-playing captain, said. India meets Canada on Saturday in the play-off for the third place. The results: Semifinals: USA bt India 3-0 (Alexis Halebian bt Digvijay Singh Mehta 6-2, 6-3; Christian Harrison bt Ronit Bisht 6-4, 6-3; Harrison & Tyler Gardiner bt Bisht & Digvijay 6-0, 6-3); France bt Canada 3-0.
