JAIPUR: An anonymous phone call received at Bikaner railway station threatening to bomb the Jodhpur-Howrah Express on Thursday has turned out to be a hoax but a curious aspect is that it was made from the mobile phone of a Railway Protection Force constable. The call, threatening “now it is the turn of Howrah Express” was received at the public STD booth on Platform No.1 of Bikaner railway station around 12-30 p.m. on Thursday. Following the call, the 2307 Up Jodhpur-Howrah Express, scheduled to depart at 5-40 p.m. from Bikaner, was thoroughly checked by a team headed by Safety Commissioner Sachin Bhalodaya even as extra police force was deployed at the railway station. The train finally left at 7-05 p.m. After tracing the call to Sita Ram, a constable with the RPF at Jodhpur, the authorities are questioning him in detail.
