Campaign for Right to Education bill

BHUBANESWAR: Demanding immediate tabling of Right To Education bill in Parliament, hundreds of teachers, student and educationists staged a demonstration here on Saturday.

During four-hour long demonstration in front of Raj Bhawan, the agitators were raising slogans that every child should get quality education up to the age of 18. A seven-member delegation led by Professor Abani Boral, convenor of National Coordination Committee of Indian Teacher’s organizations, submitted a memorandum to Governor Murlidhar Chandrakant Bhandare.

The demonstration ‘Saman Sikshya Divas’ was part of national demand day for Right to education through common school system.
