Bidar
District has recorded 20.46 mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours BIDAR: Life in the Bidar city was affected on Saturday owing to incessant rain since Friday evening. Low-lying areas were inundated, and roads and drains overflowed with water affecting vehicular movement. Residents of the city got some respite after it stopped raining in the evening. Power supply had been disrupted, and some shops and commercial establishments did not open until evening. Joint Director of Agriculture Department, Bidar, Sharanappa Mudgal said the district had recorded 20.46 mm of rainfall in five taluks in the last 24 hours. Mr. Mudgal said Bidar taluk had received 19.5 mm of rainfall; Aurad, 33.6 mm; Bhalki, 4 mm; Humnabad, 22.2 mm; and Basavakalyan taluk had received 23 mm of rainfall.
