BELGAUM: The district police arrested four persons, including a woman, in connection with two cases of selling and transporting illicit liquor on Saturday. The police raided a house at Yamakanamaradi village and seized 10 litres of illicit liquor. They arrested Hanamanth Siddappa Chinnikumpi and his wife Shobha and recovered Rs. 1,200 from them. The Yamakanamaradi police have registered a case. In another case, the Ghataprabha police arrested Bhimshi Chandrakant Kolagi and Shrishail Subhash Hallur of Mudalagi village on the charge of transporting nine litres of illicit liquor. A motorcycle has been seized.
