Gokak memorial planned

Bangalore: An action plan for a memorial to Jnanpith Award-winner V.K. Gokak is being prepared, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs S. Suresh Kumar has said. Steps would also be initiated to popularise his writings, he said.

Inaugurating the writer’s birth centenary celebrations organised by the Directorate of Kannada and Culture here on Saturday, Mr. Kumar said that Gokak’s writings should be made available to the younger generation. — Staff Reporter
