Official programmes cancelled

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy announced cancellation of all scheduled official programmes of the government to enable officials to concentrate on rescue and relief operations in the wake of floods in the State.

Speaking to reporters after reviewing the flood situation, the Chief Minister asked Collectors not to mind the rules but use funds liberally for the flood-affected people.
