HYDERABAD: A woman hanged her two children before ending her life in similar manner in their house at Singareni Colony in Saidabad on Saturday, the local police said. Saidabad Inspector Srinivas said police were yet to ascertain the reasons that drove Venkatalaxmi, 22, to resort to the extreme step. No suicide note was found. The woman used to work in a tailor shop at Moosarambagh. Her husband Viswanath is a tender coconut vendor. The couple hailing from Paidiparru village of West Godavari district came to city two years ago and were living in block no. 22 of Vambay colony. The wife and husband, along with their son Gautam Kumar, 5, and daughter Laxmi Prasanna, went to their relative’s house located in the same area in the morning. On return, the woman asked her husband to bring some food from outside stating that she was hungry. Viswanath returned with snacks after some time but found the doors bolted from inside. He grew suspicious as his wife did not respond to repeated calls. He went to the rear side of the house and peeped through the window only to see the bodies of his wife and two children hanging to the ceiling fan with saris tied around their necks. Police ruled out the possibility of foul play behind the deaths.
