Sporting holds Railway FC

KOLKATA: Leader Mohammedan Sporting was held goalless by Railway FC in the first match of the return league of the CFL premier division here on Saturday.

In a mediocre game, Sporting held sway for most part of the game but failed to break through owing to some shoddy work upfront. The promoted Railway side held its nerve and defended doggedly to split the points.

This was Sporting’s second draw in eight matches to log with 17 points. Railway FC played out its fifth draw in eight games to reach eight points. — Special Correspondent
