BIDAR: The expeditious completion of railway line between Bidar and Gulbarga will pave the way for development activities in Hyderabad-Karnataka region of the State, former president of Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry S. S. Patil has said. Speaking after inagurating a seminar of “K-VAT recent amendments/notifications and e-return, e-eayment of income tax and e-TDS” organised jointly by Bidar Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry here on Sunday, Mr. Patil said a delegation led by members of BCCI and FKCCI had met the Railways Minister and apprised him of the importance of early completion of the railway line work between the two districts. He said the FKCCI had conducted seminars in Shimoga, Haveri, Belgaum and Dharwad districts to explain to traders the changes made in taxation system after the budget. The chairman of State Taxes Committee, FKCCI, B. T. Manohar, asked the traders to have basic knowledge about the tax system. President of Bidar Chmaber of Commerce and Industry B. G. Shetkar welcomed the gathering. Chartered accountant Ramakant Somani presented a paper on the occasion.
