Separate Kallakurichi district sought

VILLUPURAM: Villupuram district must be bifurcated into Villupuram and Kallakurichi districts to improve the economic conditions of this backward region, PMK founder S.Ramadoss said. He was speaking at a “liquor eradication conference” organised by the PMK women’s wing at Kallakurichi near here on Sunday. The hilly terrain of Kallakurichi was said to be the den of illicit distillors. He urged the women not to allow addiction in their areas.
