VISAKHAPATNAM: The National Insurance Company Limited has organised a customer seminar exclusively for small and medium enterprises (SME) at the Autonagar at Gajuwaka. National Insurance’s Chief Manager Jogender Singh gave a detailed account of the various initiatives taken by the company and the importance given to improve customer service at the seminar organised on Saturday. National Insurance was the first insurance company to dedicate an exclusive office in the city to take care of the specialised insurance requirements of SME customers. Regional Manager V. Raju explained the importance and potential of SMEs in the country their potential for growth after a separate enactment was passed for promotion of SMEs in 2006. He wanted the SME participants to utilise the services offered by the dedicated SME office of the company in Visakhapatnam. DIC General Manager L.Laxman appreciated the company having an exclusive SME office. With several new industries with massive investment coming up in the district, many entrepreneurs were evincing interest in setting up units and were approaching the DIC, he added. Small-Scale Industries Association president P.Premchand, . Secretary T.M.Chowdary, Divisional Managers D. Rajani Kanth and M.V. Ramana Rao participated.
