Constable killed in hit-and-run case
New Delhi: In a hit-and-run case, a Delhi police constable was killed on Sunday when his motorcycle was hit from behind by an unidentified vehicle in South Delhi.
The mishap occurred near Safdarjung Enclave at around 5-30 a.m. when Rajesh (29), posted at Prasad Nagar police station was on his way to the police headquarters to deliver some documents.
He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, a police official said.
Rajesh is survived by his wife Vidya who is also a constable at Nazafgarh police station.
A case has been registered and further investigations are on, the official added. -- PTI
