Doctor found hanging at residence

NEW DELHI: A senior resident doctor of Lady Hardinge Hospital allegedly committed suicide at Rohini here on Sunday.
Thirty-three-year-old Avneesh Kumar was found hanging from the ceiling fan of his house in Sector-24 in the evening. His wife Sarita informed the police about the incident. Avneesh was taken to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.
The police said that the doctor was depressed which probably led him to commit suicide.
“A suicide note has been recovered from the spot. We are still to go through to it to know the exact cause for the suicide,” said a senior police officer.
Sarita purportedly told the police that Avneesh kept to himself and she had no clue as to why he killed himself. The couple had got married six months ago.
