NEW DELHI: A 26-year-old man has been arrested by the Delhi police for procuring cell phone connections against fake documents.
Acting on a tip-off, the police team mounted technical surveillance and arrested Abhishak Singhal. Five cell phone of Reliance Communications allegedly procured through fraudulent means have been seized from him.
During interrogation, Abhishak purportedly told the police that he had recently got a contract for making credit cards of a reputed bank and was in urgent need of some cell phones. He then prepared fake documents in connivance with his friend Arun and procured the phones, the police said.
