Bank holds credit camp

MAYILADUTURAI: The Mayiladuturai branch of the Central Bank of India in the district on Saturday organised a credit camp to commemorate the 127th birth anniversary of Sir Sorabji Pochkhanwala, founder of the bank.
M. Jayaraman, Collector, who distributed loans to the tune of Rs.44.22 lakh to the several beneficiaries, including education loan to students for their higher studies, appreciated the bank for rendering great service to the society.
K.V. Ranganathan, Regional Manager of Central Bank of India, in his address, traced the history and growth of the bank and serving all sections of the society.
N. Srinivasan, Branch Manager of Central Bank of India, Mayiladuturai, and others spoke.
