Corporate run relays the right message

Staff Reporter

Bangalore: Runners For Life, a running community, conducted a 20-kilometre corporate relay called Mformation Urban Stampede.

Flagging off the event, which comprised 78 teams from 38 companies, was Shikha Tandon, national-level athlete and swimmer. Each runner covered a distance of five kilometres on the running trail and each four-member team thus covered a distance of 20 kilometres. The team from the infrastructure company, GMR, bagged the prize for the fastest corporate team. Following in second place was Samsung Group while Infosys Technologies Limited came a close third. Infosys, however, won the first place in the women’s category.

Funds raised through registrations will go to Dream-A-Dream, a non-governmental organisation, which works with unprivileged children.
