THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Members of the Thiruvananthapuram Bar Association has urged the representatives of political parties and residents’ associations associated with the setting up of a High Court Bench in the capital city to play a more proactive role. In a statement here on Sunday, the association alleged that except Varkala Radhakrishnan, MP, who is the chairman of the action council formed for pursuing the demand for the High Court Bench, none of its office-bearers showed the deserved enthusiasm in supporting the campaign. The association urged all the elected representatives of the district to join forces and seize the favourable climate that had evolved for the constitution of the Bench. The indefinite Satyagraha organised by the members of the association outside the Vanchiyoor court complex in support of the demand for the Bench completed 178 days on Sunday.
