NEW DELHI: A large number of traders from different parts of the city took part in the “Vyapari Rally” organised at Constitution Club over the weekend under the aegis of the Confederation of All-India Traders. Urging political parties to protect the interest of the trading community, the traders said they would collectively rally behind that party in the forthcoming elections that offers to take up issuers pertaining to them. “It is not the traders alone, their employees and other sections dependent upon the traders will form a conglomerate to press for demands of traders,” the CAIT said in a statement issued here. The traders rally in a united voice demanded that the Government release a white paper on the internal trade of India. They also pledged to protect internal trade from onslaughts. The traders while resenting the neglect of their community also threatened a nationwide campaign. CAIT national executive president B. C. Bhartia released a national charter of traders highlighting their demands.
