BJP protest today

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will take out a march to the Raj Bhavan here on Monday as part of its nation-wide stir over the Amarnath issue. BJP spokesman M.S. Kumar said the land allocated for the Amarnath pilgrimage was taken back when the government was freely giving land to Islamic places of worship. The police had opened fire and lathicharged those who had protested against that, he said. — Special Correspondent
