Rescue measures in place

Mahabubnagar: District Collector V. Usha Rani said over 600 old houses were damaged and 10 mandals received excess rain as a result of a 3-day-long drizzle in the district.

Reviewing the flood situation here on Sunday with officials, she said it helped the agriculture sector with farmers intensifying agriculture activities.

The Collector said safety of people should be given utmost priority and directed officials to undertake relief measures without waiting for orders from higher officials.
