KOLLAM: BJP Parliamentary Board member and former Union Human Resource Minister Murli Manohar Joshi has said that if the Central government fails to find an “immediate and satisfactory” solution to the Amarnath land row, the agitation led by the Shri Amarnath Sangharsh Samiti can flare up and spread to other parts of the country. Talking to mediapersons here on Sunday after addressing a gurupuja of the Rashtriya Swyamsevak Sangh, Dr. Joshi said that in the backdrop of the land row, Jammu and Kashmir Governor N.N. Vohra should be replaced. The Governor had been immature in handling the issue and had failed to recognise the gravity of the situation, Dr. Joshi alleged. Dwelling on economic policies, he said the Centre had miserably failed in countering inflation that had crossed 12 per cent. In rural areas, the figure was 18 per cent. The BJP leader said that the UPA government would not be able to root out terrorism from Indian soil. During its four-and-a-half-year rule, terrorist outfits had spread to even remote villages, he said. He said the proposed third front to be led by the Bahujan Samaj Party leader Mayawati would always remain in the “third position” in national politics.
