Teachers plan ‘chalo’ Assembly rally

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh United Teachers’ Federation is planning a ‘chalo’ Assembly rally on September 4 to focus the Government’s attention on problems confronting teachers, like transfers, promotions and services of apprentices. I. Venkateswara Rao, president, and three other leaders said in a statement here that about 10,000 teachers from different parts of the State would take part in the march, prior to the Teacher’s Day. –Special Correspondent
