Resignation of advocates accepted
New Delhi: Tamil Nadu government has accepted the resignation of advocates V.G. Pragasam and T. Harish Kumar, who represented the State in the Supreme Court.
They were asked to resign as a fallout of the contempt of court case in the apex court on August 4 relating to the Tamil Nadu bandh, in which only the Chief Secretary and the then DGP filed their response and it was submitted that the Chief Minister, M. Karunanidhi, was accepting the stand of the Chief Secretary. Counsel R. Nedumaran has been asked to handle Tamil Nadu cases. — Special Correspondent
