Bloomfield Township (USA): Jeev Milkha Singh was stranded at the second hole when rains washed out his penultimate round at the PGA Championships, leaving the Indian to play 35 holes on the final day of the event here. Jeev had parred his opening hole and was tied for the eighth spot when rains lashed the Oakland Hills course forcing suspension of play. The final day now promises to be a draining one for the Indian, who is already battling an injured ankle. Jeev has a two-day total of two-over 142. Six players, including J.B. Holmes, who has a one-stroke lead at one-under, were yet to tee off in the third round. “If all is well, we should still have time, even if there’s a playoff, for a three-hole aggregate score if need be. But it will be tight,” said Kerry Haigh, a spokesman for the PGA. Ben Curtis birdied four of his first six holes to share the lead with Holmes. Curtis moved to three-under par on a chilly morning to match overnight leader Holmes, who eagled the par-five second to open up a two-shot lead before Curtis’s charge. Holmes and Curtis were among the top six players who did not get to tee off on Saturday — Agencies
