Rain plays spoil sport

HYDERABAD: Rain played spoil sport for the second day in the semifinals of the Coromandel King all-India Moin-ud-Dowla Gold Cup cricket championship here on Sunday.

Heavy rains forced abandonment of play on Sunday also and the organisers have decided to convert the semifinals featuring HCA President’s XI against Kerala and Hyderabad against Uttar Pradesh, into one-dayers.

The matches will now be played on Monday at RRC Grounds (Secunderabad), and Rajiv Gandhi Stadium (Uppal), respectively.
