Thumping win for Loyola HS

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An unbeaten century by Nithin enabled Loyola HS score a thumping 113-run win over GHSS, Medical College, in the Jai Hind Trophy inter-school T20 cricket tournament here on Sunday.

Saraswathy Vidyalaya defeated Model HSS via bowl out after the match ended in a tie. In another match Mary Giri HS defeated Nazreth HS, Balaramapuram by 35 runs.

The scores: Loyola HS 209 for two in 20 overs (Nithin 102 n.o., Ali Asgar 54) bt GHSS 96 in 18.1 overs (Tomy three for 19, Ali Asgar three for 23).

Saraswathy Vidyalaya 145 for five in 25 overs (Abhishek 43, Murali 33, Anish two for 15) bt Model HSS 145 for seven in 20 overs (Ashok 38, Padmanabhan 33, J. Mtihun three for 32).

Mary Giri HS 140 for four in 20 overs (Midhun 52, Sharath Babu three for 25) bt Nazreth HS, Balaramapuram 105 for nine in 20 overs (Sachin Suresh two for 11, Vineeth two for 20).
