SRMSC wins

Coimbatore: A. Avinash picked four for 24 in Sri Ramakrishna Mills Sports Club’s (SRMSC) six-wicket win over Cosmo Village Sports Academy in the final of the Coimbatore Raiders-CDCA Golden Jubilee T20 cricket tournament for the Aircel Trophy at the SNR Sons grounds here on Sunday.

The scores: Final: Cosmo Village SA 96 in 19 overs (A. Avinash four for 24, Sunil Sam three for 26) lost to Sri Ramakrishna Mills SC 98 for four in 12.3 overs.

Third position: Rainbow CC 145 for seven in 20 overs (Balamurugan 43 not out) lost to Coimbatore Raiders 146 for eight in 19 overs (Karthikeyan 45, Srinivasan 40).

Special awards: Best Batsman: Petson Mathew (Cosmo Village). Best bowler: Ashok (Rainbow). Best fielder: R. Kannan (Coimbatore Raiders). Best all-rounder: Huzefa M. Patel (SRMSC). Man of the semifinals: Nagaraj (Cosmo Village) & Sundaramoorthy (SRMSC). Man of the final: A. Avinash (SRMSC). — Sports Reporter
