Campaign against corruption

NAMAKKAL: The Anti-Corruption Awareness Movement will launch a campaign to raise awareness level among students and the general public on the need to eliminate corruption.

A press release said that classes would be conducted for the college students on various subjects including discipline, freedom struggle, Constitution, and laws such as Right to Information Act and Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act.

The campaign would also cover subjects like negative effects of liquor consumption, environmental degradation, global warming, water conservation and media.The campaign would also bring the students together to protest against broadcast of cinema related programmes during Independence Day and Republic Day.

A meeting in this regard was conducted in Namakkal recently. State general secretary M. Sivaraj and deputy president P. Veerappan were present.
