This Day That Age
Prime Minister Nehru told the Lok Sabha on August 11 that he was prepared to discuss the recent border incidents personally with the Pakistan Prime Minister when an occasion arose. Mr. Nehru acquainted the House with the correspondence exchanged between him and the Pakistan Prime Minister during the last few days. The Prime Minister rejected Mr. Feroze Khan Noon’s version that the recent firing incidents were an act of retaliation by Pakistani troops against a violation of the Pakistan border from the Indian side, and said he had told the Pakistan Prime Minister in his reply that he (Mr. Noon) had been wrongly advised on the incidents.
