3 held with ganja
CHENNAI: Police on Sunday arrested three persons who allegedly attempted to smuggle ganja to a dealer in Ashok Nagar.
Three kg of ganja, Rs 1 lakh in cash and a car were seized from them. Police said the trio travelling in a grey Chevy car was stopped and questioned as part of a routine vehicle check early Sunday at the Kaliyamman Kovil Street junction in Koyambedu . Upon interrogation, the men confessed that they were heading towards Ashok Nagar after delivering ganja and collecting cash from a peddler in Egmore.
The three were produced before a city court and were remanded to custody.
