Coimbatore: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) special teams on Sunday night arrested two railway employees on charges of pilfering parcels. Following complaints, the RPF Assistant Commissioner, Morris Fernandez, Inspector of Police, RPF, Coimbatore, N. Kesavadas and Sub-Inspector, S. Vijaykumar constituted special teams. InspectionThe teams during their inspection found five parcels booked in Coimbatore for Ernakulam lying on one of the platforms near a rest and maintenance room for the Signal and Telecom Department employees. On examination, they found readymade shirts in the parcel and some of the shirts were found inside the room. Employees Ravichandran and Sadiq Basha were picked up. On questioning, they confessed to stealing items from parcels. The RPF personnel arrested them. They have been remanded to judicial custody.
