Kalam to join Ramachandra University

CHENNAI: Former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam agreed to join Sri Ramachandra University, Porur, as a visiting professor of eminence, on Monday.
Mr. Kalam conveyed his decision to Vice-Chancellor S. Ramaswami and research unit head S.P. Thyagarajan, who met him in New Delhi bearing a letter of invitation from Chancellor V.R. Venkatachalam to join the university. As part of his new assignment, he has agreed to interact with nursing students and young researchers at a meeting scheduled for September 30.
