VISAKHAPATNAM: Visakhapatnam recorded the highest team total in a 50-overs-a-side match for women, piling up 440 for five against East Godavari on its way to win the ACA North Zone women’s inter-district tournament at the ACA-VDCA stadium B ground here on Sunday. Visakhapatnam won by 408 runs in the round-robin match.
The scores: Visakhapatnam 440 for five in 50 overs (S. Samata 86 retd. Hurt, D. Kalyani 66, M. Savitha Kumar 38 n.o., S. Himabindu 38 n.o., K. Niroshini 38) bt East Godavari 32 in 13.4 overs (M. Swetha four wickets for two runs).
Srikakulam 149 for seven in 36 overs (K.V.S.P. Chandana 25) bt Vizianagaram 123 for eight in 36 overs (Sravani 33, B. Nagamma four for 26).
