RDO probe on August 14

MADURAI: Public willing to provide information on the death of a 47-year-old man in a private hostel in the city shall appear before the Revenue Divisional Officer on August 14.

According to a press release, Kanagarathnam (47), son of Manickam Pillai of West Mada Street, Kaaladipettai, Chennai had been to Madurai on May 27, 2008. He stayed in a room at YMCA hostel. At around 2 p.m., he was understood to have suffered epilepsy. He was rushed to a nearby nursing home and subsequently shifted to the Government Rajaji Hospital. He was declared dead by doctors at the GRH. Based on police report, the Collector had ordered for a probe.

Public having knowledge about the victim and the circumstances that led to his death may depose before the RDO S. Jayaraj on August 14 before 5.45 p.m. or send in details through post.
