TRS alleges discrimination in flood relief
Staff Reporter
Sangareddy: Telangana Rashtra Samithi alleged discrimination by Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy towards rain affected Telangana districts.
Speaking to reporters here after inaugurating the local party office, leader K. Taraka Rama Rao alleged that the Chief Minister has once again demonstrated his preference towards Andhra region by undertaking aerial survey of the coastal districts even though Telangana districts too equally bore the brunt.
He demanded exgratia of Rs. 3 lakh each to the kin of the deceased and Rs. 1 lakh for the injured.
He also demanded a special grant for the repair of all breached water bodies in the region on war-footing.
He called upon the voters to recognize the step-motherly treatment meted out to Telangana by the Congress.
Dommata legislator S. Ramalinga Reddy and former MLC R. Satyanarayana were also present.
